3 Ways to Energize Your Body Now (without Talking Diet or Working Out)!
Feeling tired and lazy is probably some of the worst feelings in the world. When we’re tired and lazy, we don’t feel like doing ANYTHING except the things that want to do. Once you hit adult life, it becomes even more frustrating because you have have to keep treading forward regardless of how you feel.
Today I wanted to help you by giving THREE ways to energize yourself without mentioning the cliche things like “working out” or “changing your diet” blah blah blah. I’m going to give it to you real and straight up. Here we go with the first one.
1. LOCK DOWN A USUAL SLEEP PATTERN
Our body’s circadian rhythm is supposed to be synced with the sun. Naturally, when the sun goes down, our body should be shutting down and getting ready for rest. Since the invention of the lightbulb, we are now staying awake a lot longer than our bodies can handle. Your body can get used to the new pattern but it doesn’t mean its healthy. When this rhythm gets out of sync, so does everything else. Our hormones, eating patterns and energy get out of whack and then we feel TIRED.
Start first by going to bed around the same time and waking up around the same time. At least you can begin to stabilize your circadian rhythm and focus on feeling consistent energy every day. Try to dim some lights around the house when the sun starts to go down to mimic your body’s natural sleeping patterns. Refrain from using electronic screens 30 minutes before climbing into bed to avoid overstimulating your eyes. Focus on creating a bedtime routine like taking a shower, food prepping for the next day and stretching or meditating. Reducing stress should be the last goal of your day before bed.
2. START A SUPPLEMENT REGIMEN
Let’s be real. We skip meals, we eat trash food and we are stressed. Our bodies take extreme damage from all of this. In a perfect world, I would love everyone to eat healthy and get the nutrients that energizes your body but the reality is, we don’t. We’re too busy doing this, getting that, going here, driving over there. STRAIGHT UP STRESS.
When you start a supplement regimen, you’re helping your body receive the vitamins, minerals, macronutrients, micronutrients, probiotics and enzymes your body is supposed to get from foods but completely miss because of our busy lifestyles. It’s because our body is missing these critical nutrients, we are STARVED at the cellular level. We are mimicking exactly how every single cell in our body feels. WEAK, TIRED and FATIGUED.
Taking a multivitamin, fish oil, Vitamin C., probiotics, digestive enzymes and protein powder supplements should be the starter pack to people that are new to this supplement game. REMEMBER, supplements are supposed to SUPPLEMENT what you don’t receive. They should NEVER replace what you SHOULD be eating.
3. EAT WHOLE, LESS-PROCESSED FOODS
I know I said I wouldn’t mention “diet” but I haven’t yet! I hate the word “diet”, “fasting” and “starvation”. Here is a hard truth I’m about to say but I don’t mind carrying such a hard truth.
Any food you didn’t cook yourself, will make you feel like SHIT. We live in a society where it promotes eating WHATEVER, ON-THE-GO. When food is on the go, we are less mindful of what we’re putting in our bodies. When we make our own food, we now have full supervision of what’s going in and what kind of energy these foods can naturally produce for our bodies.
Next time you eat, take a second to wonder how it got to the finished product. The more steps or “processes” it went through, the less healthy it becomes. Perfect example is the difference between apples and apple juice. An apple was picked off a tree, washed and now ready to eat. Apple juice had to probably go through 26 stages to become juice. Plus adding SUGAR. No good. Eat foods closer to its natural form and you’ll feel way more energized!
